Both fighters confident ahead of Saturday's showdown in Copenhagen
The stage is set for another big homecoming of Denmark's biggest boxing hero Mikkel Kessler. Earlier today, Kessler and his counterpart Allan Green displayed their skills ahead of Saturday's clash for the WBC-Silver light-heavyweight title at PARKEN.
32-year-old Green, who did arrive in Copenhagen on Saturday, says that he is going to put a lot of hurt on the "Viking Warrior". "I am here to beat Mikkel Kessler and take the belt home. I have seen almost all of his fights, there is nothing he can do to surprise me. I know what to expect."
Green is also very satisfied with his preparation in America: "I have been training hard and everything has been coming together nicely. I have the energy and the power to put him into a lot of trouble. What that means, Kessler will find out the hard way on May 19. He will go down."
Although, Mikkel Kessler is not that rattled when hearing about Green's comments. "It's just talk - I have heard it all before. In the end he will be the one to find himself in the dust of the ring." The new weight-class is also not going to be a problem according to the former world champion at super-middleweight. "I have sparred guys who are a lot bigger than me and fared really well against them. I cannot wait for Saturday!"
